What is the Gateway Internship Program?
The Gateway Internship Program provides "real," leading edge opportunities for students from a wide variety of disciplines. The purpose of our college internship program is to give students a chance to work closely with Gateway professionals in a stimulating environment with exposure to tomorrow's technology today. Upon completion of the eleven-week program, full-time retention will be explored for those students who demonstrated a "good fit" into the Gateway environment; contingent upon graduation.
Through organized activities, interns will be encouraged to network professionally and socially with the Gateway staff and other interns from across the United States. The networking provided will offer academic stimulation and professional insight that will prepare students for a successful career within our industry.

What are the General Qualifications?
All participants for internships and co-ops must meet the following criteria:
- They must have completed their junior year undergraduate studies by the start of the program.
- Be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Be in good academic standing. That is a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. All grade point averages will be reviewed and an unofficial transcript will be required from top candidates in the final selection stages.
- Be actively involved in their campus or community environment. These traits demonstrate flexibility and good time management skills needed to succeed in the Gateway environment. (If a two page resume is needed in order to list all of our activities, not a problem. In fact, a two page resume with numerous activities listed is preferred to a shorter one page resume with no activities included.)
- Most opportunities will be offered at our site in North Sioux City, SD. The standard summer internship program runs for eleven weeks. Opportunities that run outside of this time frame, require additional time, or need the times changed due to school commitments will be reviewed on an individual basis by College Relations.
- We offer limited seasonal internships for local college students. Reference our web site and your career services to inquire about these openings.
The deadline for resumes was February 15, 1999.
Late resumes will not be accepted!
